Corpus Christi Geologic Society members Matt Franey and John Matthewson, attend Camp Carancahua every year to help the Boy Scouts on their Geology Merit badge. The CCGS supplies the members with a set of minerals and rocks for their geology presentation. The Geologic Map of the USA will be permanently attached in Camp Carancahua. This will help our goal of ‘planting the seeds of geologic curiosity’ for many years to come because it will be seen by all of the campers in the camp.
