May 2012

The Houston Geological Society (HGS) has approved an initial $21,000 budget for the Bones in Schools program. We will be supplying bones to them and they will be buying murals from us for displays. We are happy to carry on Owen Hopkins’ vision to expand the Bones in Schools program to other cities in Texas and beyond. We have made presentations to Houston and they will carry on their program with their own volunteers. I need a group of volunteers to help the local Bones in Schools showings next year. They are fun and very rewarding. Please contact myself or Rick Paige.

It’s been a pleasure serving the Society as President.
